Youth Protection
YPT Required for All Leaders
The Boy Scouts of America places the greatest importance on creating the most secure environment possible for our youth members. To maintain such an environment, the BSA developed numerous procedural and leadership selection policies and provides parents and leaders with resources for the Cub Scout, Scouts BSA, Venturing and Exploring programs.

Dear Crescent Bay Scouters,
As we set off on a new year, the Crescent Bay District of the Boy Scouts of America is reaching out to our dedicated supporters to seek your continued support in making a positive impact on the lives of young scouts.
In 2023, thanks to the unwavering commitment of our volunteers and the support of friends like you, Crescent Bay achieved remarkable milestones. We proudly welcomed 440 new scouts into our scouting family, initiated the establishment of 4 new units, and launched a Girl Sea Scout Ship to broaden our outreach and inclusivity.
The success of our endeavors was further highlighted by the hosting of a successful Camporee and Festival of Scouting that brought scouts together for enriching experiences and camaraderie. Behind the scenes, our engaged committees worked tirelessly to ensure that every scout has the opportunity to thrive and develop essential life skills.
What sets Crescent Bay apart is our consistent growth for two consecutive years, for a combined 11.1% growth since 2021. This achievement is a testament to the dedication of our volunteers, the enthusiasm of our scouts, and the support we receive from individuals like you who believe in the transformative power of scouting.
As we look to the future, we invite you to be a crucial part of our journey. Your financial contribution plays a vital role in sustaining our growth, enabling us to provide quality scouting programs, maintain and expand our units, and create memorable experiences for our scouts.
To make your donation, please visit our giving link for 2024: Crescent Bay Donation Link. Your generosity will directly impact the lives of the youth in our community, fostering character development, leadership skills, and a lifelong love for the outdoors.
Thank you for considering our request and for being an integral part of the Crescent Bay scouting community. Together, we can continue to make a positive difference in the lives of young people.
